Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Our Finance team at our R&D/Production site in San Francisco Bay Area – Concord, California is looking for a Senior Accountant. This will be a hybrid role for a person with expertise in full cycle GL, Month end close, AP, AR, Journal Entries, fixed assets, cash and reporting. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is strongly preferred. You will be the go-to person for inquiries relating to accurate financial reporting and compliance.

This role will work globally across the business and interact at all levels which is why building strong and sustainable business relationships will be key to succeeding.

Other tasks – but not limited to, are: • Preparing month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial schedules in preparation for financial audits and tax returns. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop and maintain complex financial models and analyses. • Prepare bank reconciliation statements and inventory management. • Assist in inventory management and reconciliation. • Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning analysis with cross-functional teams.

As our Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, your qualifications should ideally be: • A bachelor’s degree within Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • You bring solid (+5) years’ experience from a similar position in the manufacturing accounting industry with an international company. • Strong General Ledger experience is a must. • You thrive in a deadline-driven work environment, and you find it natural to implement best practices and deliver high-quality financial services to our colleagues. • Proficiency in software; ERP's and other systems for example -LN6, Medius, Concur, and Microsoft Excel • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities – you always bring your logical sense to the table when facing issues, and always seek to consider all risks and opportunities before committing to a decision. • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and be able to work independently to achieve established goals and objectives.
