Product & Innovation Manager
Product & Innovation Manager Our Product Management department is looking for a driven, energetic and forward-thinking Product & Innovation Manager to join their team and help shape the next generation of satellite communication solutions.
As Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our innovation roadmap, identifying new business opportunities, and developing business cases to bring new ideas to life. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, finance, and external partners to lead innovation from concept through to commercialization – including identifying and securing funding from public and private sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Market & Opportunity Analysis: Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new market opportunities in the global satcom landscape.
- Business Case Development: Build robust business cases for new products, technologies, and initiatives – including financial modeling, market sizing, and ROI analysis.
- Innovation Process Leadership: Drive the end-to-end innovation process, from ideation and validation to development and go-to-market.
- Funding Strategy: Proactively identify and secure external funding opportunities, including grants, innovation programs, and R&D partnerships.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (engineering, product, government bodies, research institutes) to align on innovation strategy.
- Portfolio Management: Help manage the product innovation pipeline and ensure alignment with overall business strategy and product roadmap.
As our Product & Innovation Manager at Cobham Satcom, your qualifications should ideally be:
- Master’s degree in either engineering or business, or a combination of the two. A good to have supplement to this is military education or employment.
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, innovation, or business development – ideally within satcom, telecoms, or defense industries.
- Great energy, drive and an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for innovation.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn ideas into actionable plans.
- Experience developing and presenting business cases to senior stakeholders.
This role will be based at the Cobham Satcom headquarters in Kgs. Lyngby.
