Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Manager to join our Government, Enterprise Solutions (GES) team. This role will report directly to the Director of Sales and will be instrumental in driving the growth of the advanced tracker product portfolio within the SATCOM industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, with a focus on actively seeking new opportunities in the Government and Defense sectors. This position is designed for a prospector who thrives on building relationships and securing new business rather than just managing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Government and Defense sectors, focusing on establishing relationships with key industry players and influencers. • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive growth for the Tracker product line. • Meet and exceed sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis, with performance metrics tied to new business acquisition.
Pipeline Management • Maintain a robust sales pipeline through effective CRM management, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement with prospects. • Conduct market research and due diligence to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the SATCOM industry.
Strategic Collaboration • Work closely with the Tracker Product Manager to develop competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. • Manage RFIs/RFPs, crafting tailored responses and solutions to meet client needs and drive sales.
Reporting and Analysis • Prepare and present regular sales activity reports to the Director of Sales, highlighting progress against goals and identifying areas for improvement. • Utilize sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the profitability of products, analyzing business developments and market trends.
Marketing Support • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional activities and develop marketing materials that effectively communicate the benefits of our Tracker products. • Engage in market research to identify key issues and opportunities for business development within assigned markets.
Qualifications • Proven experience in the SATCOM industry, with a strong network of contacts within Government and Defense sectors. Veterans are welcome! • Prior government/military employment, Army, Air Force or Space Force is a preference • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and secure new business opportunities. • Strong understanding of satellite communication technologies. • Experience with CRM tools and advanced presentation skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. • Must be a U.S. Citizen. • This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Education / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or related field required or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the Satellite Communications industry. Must have demonstrated and reference-able history of meeting and exceeding quotas and bringing significant revenue to your company.

Salary Compensation for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 DOE
Travel- up to 50%-60% of the time may be required.
