About the role One of the challenges when working with radio, satellite antenna, and terminal development, is that our equipment needs to interface with several 3rd party products while complying with the requirements of our end-users and regulatory constraints. This means you will be working with all aspects of software engineering, from innovation and planning, to design, programming, integration, test, and support. We work in cross-functional software teams with a flavour of Scrum, which we continuously work on improving. You will benefit from our development pipeline of source control and configuration, automatic build and test systems, code review and project tracking based on Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Jenkins and Jira.

What you will be working with • Linux architecture, infrastructure and best practices in an embedded domain • Ethernet network and data communication protocols • Object oriented design and programming in C++ and STL • UI development using the Angular web development framework • Solving complex engineering challenges • Continuous improvement of products, methods and skills

Your key skills and qualifications will ideally include • Master or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Network Technology or equivalent • Well experienced in developing software in a Linux environment • Implementation of cyber secure software • Knowledge of application, feature and API design using solid principles • Unit testing and automated validation methods • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting • Mastering scripting tools like bash, Python and GNU make • Knowledge of agile development processes, test automation and continuous integration

Your role will be based in Cobham Satcom’s department in NOVI, Aalborg.
