Technical Support Engineer/Technician

Then this might just be the right position for you. At Cobham Satcom we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer/Technician who will be a vital link between our organization and our clients. In this role you will be providing technical support internally & externally that aims to ensure customer satisfaction and product integrity. This role can both be positioned on-site at our headquarters in Lyngby or be a remote position from another location in Europe or Australia/New Zealand.
The role entails travelling to partners across the globe, sometimes with short notice. A flexible approach to working hours is therefore needed.
Key Responsibilities • To deliver remote support as primary function (via support desk). • To provide technical assistance at any global location as necessary to develop and protect brand. • Provide training to end-users and partners. • Mentor, assist & cross train team members
Key Competencies & Experiences • Strong interpersonal communications skills. • Demonstrated experience working in field service role. • Experience within the MilGov sector would be an advantage • Ability to apply logical approach to faultfinding & issue resolution. • Demonstrated knowledge with CRM / ticket management system. • Competent with Microsoft Office. • Capability to effectively drive customer requirements to satisfactory conclusion without continuous direction.
Technical competencies • Fully conversant with Radio Equipment (MF/HF, VHF, UHF) & some experience with Satellite Communication technologies (VSAT, L-Band). • Educated in Electrical or RF technologies via apprenticeship or recognised qualification. • Demonstrated experience installing and supporting radio equipment &/or mobile satellite communications. • Basic level IT Networking skills essential.
